Sara Rahbar - The Activist

The Activist is a part of Rahbar's body of work entitled Animals. An intuitive layering of imagery; heavily poured onto and layered with various inks and oils. The work portrays a scenario that is rooted in military strife and warfare, and depicts a figure who is representative of an everlasting struggle against the system. The Activist is symbolic of the strong protest of the people - the work conveys a constant battle against the government, and persisting dilemmas of capitalism and corruption.
