Volokitin Artem (born 1981) is a Ukrainian artist. I was born in Eshara, Kharkiv region Graduated from Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Leader of the Pinchuk Art Prize (2009). Entered the Future Generation Art Prize shortlist (2010). Participant in many exhibitions, projects, festivals in Ukraine and abroad (since 2006). Future Generation Art Prize @ Venice, Palazzo Papadopoli, Venice, Italy (2011). Internship at Anthony Gormley, London (2010). Lives and works in Kharkiv.

Namysto collection image

The «Namysto» collection consist of many original NFT beads created by hundreds of Ukrainian artists of all ages. This project is created to support Ukrainian artists and army during the Russia’s full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.

Namysto - a traditional Ukrainian decoration of pearls, corals, stones, etc., worn around the neck. Namysto are one of the oldest jewelry known since the Paleolithic. Now they are worn mainly by women, but historically they have been used as jewelry by men. The Namysto necklace can also be named after the material - "corals", "beads", "beads". One element of the Namysto necklace (pearl, stone, etc.) is called a «Namystyna» (rarely a bead).
