Originally displayed in my OMO series in 2017, Motherhood was one of a trio of paintings depicting mothers with their child.
OMO was an exhibition that featured a series of paintings and illustrations created by Jay Golding. Depicting the various Indigenous tribes of the Lower Omo River Valley located in Southwest Ethiopia, the series was a defining moment in Jay's art career and led him to create more than 30 artworks in a collection inspired by these tribal groups.
