The first digital artwork of Cuban art (made 35 years ago in 1986) reborn now as NFT

This is the first work created by Luis Miguel Valdés in 1986 and was made using IBM Storyboard (Picture Maker) released by IBM in the same year. After being created on the computer this image was transferred using traditional procedures to make a limited edition on screenprint. Later was shown in several exhibitions and received an award from the National Union of Writers and Artists. Today, 35 years later and thanks to the Blockchain, this work is reborn as an NFT (Non-Fungible Token).

Luis Miguel Valdes"Torso", 1986-2021 Digital Art, Limited Edition of 100

"When we didn't even dream of talking about digital art in our country and computers were a remote dream, Luis Miguel Valdés was there, like a demiurge, creating artistic possibilities from the nascent information technologies." Virginia Alberdi

"The work of Luis Miguel Valdés is characterized by a vigorous execution, high technical mastery, and the use of a refined line, which leaves aside the anecdotal of the subject treated to focus on the aspects that the artist considered fundamental." Sandra Gonzalez.
