Mu the Mindless Rabbit as Shiva the Destroyer. Pausha has been called “The Destroyer of Paths” and this connection was the spark for this image. This picture was created in camera, via long exposure with multiple flashes providing the illusion of multiple arms.
First Buyer will receive a big-ass archival print on Epson Premium Luster fine art paper, hand-signed by Chris Foley & Pausha Foley as well as a Certificate of Authenticity. Buyer can choose their size before we have it printed at Bay Photo. Prints of this image are currently available for sale on our website, limited to a run of 42 units.
Once this NFT makes its first sale, I will retire this print and no more will be available for purchase, thus increasing its scarcity, though I reserve the right to display this image in gallery shows in the future.
Mu the Mindless Rabbit began as functional spokesmodel when a global pandemic forced citizens into daily anonymity. Flimsy fabric masks disguised friends, family, and colleagues until we were all the same and our voices blended into one continually muffled murmur. Mu’s original role was to model our exclusive “Stay the Fuck Away From Me” T-Shirt artwork; our own original contribution to the COVID-19 era, but there was far more in store for her around the corner.
Once we began to play with the character and put her in interesting situations and environments we came to realize she was the perfect tabula rasa; a clean slate onto which we could project any idea we wanted. Suddenly Mu broke from the anonymity imposed by the masks and she became a character unto herself. This collection finds Mu the Mindless Rabbit exploring basic human themes such as fear, solitude, adventure, sadness, relatedness, spirituality, and connection.
