‘Miss On A Beam’ is a play on the phrase ‘Mise en abyme’ This is a formal technique of placing a copy of an image within itself, often in a way that suggests an infinitely recurring sequence. In my way of depiction, I try to capture what our true selves look like. Each bubble is our true self in it’s moment - in that year, then there’s another you evolving in the years to come and another you when that you fades.
