"Functionally Dysfunctional" focuses on the design furniture product and its functional characteristics. Proposal that aims to discuss from the disarticulation of the variables that make up the object itself: morphology, materiality, ergonomics and functionality. The relationships between these elements of the furniture are putting into crisis to reconfigure the object system from its use value. Furniture appears as a conditioner of behaviors, a system of parts that puts its own essence in crisis: the functional one. The aesthetic product is presented by means of a coherent ergonomic structure, but with a dysfunctional morphology that chaoticizes its daily utility, in order to show the crisis as a metaphor, as a symbol of systemic fragmentation. It is a look at the social space from the furniture, the individual space from the user and the symbolic space from the link. The result is an anarchic product in its objective predefinition and fully functional in its symbolic construction.
