About the Artist:

*John Trinh
*

Born in Vietnam and living in the United States, John Trinh graduated with honors from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. While studying at the Art Center, John Trinh was awarded the title of "Excellent Artist with Distinction" from the National Alliance For Excellence in New York, along with many other awards and scholarships such as Honda Endowed Scholarship, Hallmark Cards, World Studio Foundation, and Art Center College of Design Merit Scholarship. After graduation, the artist has worked for major art and design companies such as Mattel, as a senior visual designer, and Disney as a digital artist.

John Trinh's paintings have been exhibited at Agora Gallery, New York Art Gallery (NY), Disney Synergy, Laguna Art Gallery (CA), and the private collection of Norman Schwarskopf to name a few. John Trinh's first body of work was introduced in the International Contemporary Masters art books (2010 and 2011). Two paintings “Mother and Child” (Mother and Child) and “Adam and Eve” (Adam and Eve) are in the permanent collection of the Contemporary Art Museum of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas.

Most recently, ArtPatron--An art and culture magazine in California selected John Trinh as one of "16 artists To Know" in 2019. Masters Of Today Publishing House (London) introduced and displayed the works of John Trinh in the international art book series "36 Artists To Follow" and "Top 10 Contemporary Artists", 2019 and 2020. John Trinh was “Artist of the Year 2019”, Circle Foundation For The Arts (Europe), “Artist of the Year 2020”, World of Art magazine (London), and in 2022 he also received the international award “Leonardo Da Vinci: Universal Artist”, Florence, Italy.

Along his artistic career, John Trinh produced and directed the controversial documentary film titled "Agent Orange: 30 Years Later". The film has garnered many major awards at more than 20 international film festivals around the world. It was shown twice on Vietnamese television on the Agent Orange Day in 2009, and is an object in the Viet Nam Press Museum in Ha Noi, Viet Nam. John Trinh's motto is "do ordinary things with extraordinary love." - Mother Teresa. The inspiration for the design and publication of the author's Collection of Modern Ao Dai Designs stems from the love and respect for the origin of Viet Nam's national cultural heritage. John Trinh observed and noticed that the Ao Dai made women in Viet Nam, and in all the other nations in the world, more beautiful.
