“Moon in Scorpio” is the astronomical phenomenon of the moon passing through the constellation of Scorpio or along the constellation of Scorpio, which occurs once every lunar month and usually lasts two to three days.
In astronomy, traditionally mixed with some religious beliefs, the phenomenon of the moon in Scorpio has been considered a sign of ominous events.
The constellation of Scorpio was not pleasant in the minds of its predecessors due to the presence of the red star in the heart of Scorpio, and the phenomenon of the moon in Scorpio was considered a sinister event in historical belief.
In contrast, the annual passage of the Sun through the constellation of "Leo" (which occurs in August) was considered good and pleasant.
In this artwork, the lion, which is a symbol of good fortune and on the other hand is a symbol of Iran, has become ill and in fact has reached the symbol of the scorpion being sinister
Lithography is a method of printing originally based on the immiscibility of oil and water. The printing is from a stone or a metal plate with a smooth surface. It was invented in 1796 by the German author and actor Alois Senefelder, Iranian lithography was imported to Iran in 1845 by Abbas Mirza. Nowadays this art has become a forgotten style.
Iranian lithography is a folk art that I have combined pop art with.
