Story Behind the Photos
London is one of my favorite cities in the world. I just love the architecture and the many photogenic views and buildings throughout the city. It's a nice mix of historic and modern architecture, but I have to say I prefer to the historic buildings.
During various visits I had lots of the typical English weather with only fleeting moments of good light. On one evening I was able to capture a unique perspective of Big Ben after a rain storm had just passed. I was standing in a tunnel beneath the Westminster Bridge and was able to create a beautiful framing for Big Ben.
Another photo I'm proud of is the long exposure I took in the entrance hall of the Natural History Museum. This view reminded me a bit of Hogwarts from Harry Potter and I got some beautiful soft light to complement it.
The final photo in the triptych shows again Big Ben, this time from Trafalgar Square during blue hour in the morning. Mornings are in my opinion the best times to explore major cities, because they are nearly empty.
This collection features images of Metropolises all over the world. Contained are photos of modern cities like Hongkong, Chicago or Auckland as well as of the ancient Angkor Wat. For each Metropolis contained in this NFT collection, three photos of that city were combined into a unique triptych. The used photos are of the highest quality and packed with details. The resulting images are made available in 4k resolution.
As a bonus, the buyer gets access to unlockable content, containing the three individual photos in 4k resolution for private use.
As a travel photographer I have visited close to 30 countries over the past 10 years. During those travels I also spent a lot of time in cities. Although I generally prefer nature and landscapes to the bustle of larger cities, there's beauty to be found everywhere, even in the chaos that some cities exude. This collection is my attempt to bring some of that beauty into the NFT world.
