In this space, two virtual paintings are shown that are in line with the formalistic abstract working method of modernist painters.

The painting on the left shows an artificial landscape made up entirely of black lines of the same thickness. The lines that indicate the light rays continue in the shaded shadow of the mountains.

The painting on the right shows a schematic three-dimensional fighter jet, a folded paper airplane, with its flat projections on the walls and base of the half-open box.

Both paintings deal with the translation of the immersive space in the world around us into a framed flat surface, one of the main themes in the history of painting. In most virtual representations, such as gaming and metaverse platforms, a photorealistic or magical realistic approach is chosen. These representations emphatically tie in with the abstract formalist tradition of the 20th century modernist movement with the aim of continuing it in the metaverse.
