Idiot Sandwich #5 of 50 is Melissa Meatball.

A lot of people try to get away from their family and the 'baggage' that can come with being related. Melissa was one of those sandwiches.

Her family ran a restaurant in Providence, Rhode Island. She wanted more. Melissa wanted to be an architect.

So off to college, she went, and then on to a life in the big city.

90 hours a week became the standard for her. Even though she lived in the city, she had no time to go sightseeing or to take advantage of the nightlife and culture that the city had to offer.

One night she was working late at her desk, and it hit her: the life that really meant anything to her was back home.

Being an architect was great, but she never felt more alive than on a busy Friday night at the Family Restaurant.

That was it. Her mind was made up.

She quit the next day and moved home. She hasn't looked back.

Her parents retired a few years ago, and now she runs the restaurant.

And every day she wakes up with a smile and counts her blessings before she heads off to work.
