May 24, 2016 was a career chase day. What I witnessed on this day was something that I never thought I would get to see. I woke up early that morning and took a look at the weather models. I decided to head towards Dodge City, Kanas which would be around a 5 hour drive for me. The Storm Prediction Center had an enhanced risk for thunderstorms and a 10% risk for tornadoes in my target area. After arriving at my target I was able to get on a storm. Around 6pm the first tornado touched down, and then the storm went crazy and produced two tornados at once which isn't very common. I have only seen two tornadoes at once like this one other time in my years of chasing. Not only did it produce two at once but for a brief moment there were 3 tornados at the same time! This storm was absolutely beautiful to witness! It was the end of a long week of chasing and long drives every day alone in the car. This is my first big tornado day chasing alone and it is one of my most cherished photos.
