The photographic essay of Earth removed, tells the story from a trip to the place inhabited three generations ago, coming from the inheritance of the land from the great-grandparents, which removes certain experiences that also happened to my relatives in the past, beginning to explore the forgotten memories and their presence, together with linked images of the reconstruction of the space when building.

Accepting the land entails accepting its history and the context from which it comes, returning judgments -of class, race, gender, among others- still derived from colonial practices towards our origins. While the act of removing the earth brings up that part of the inheritance of feelings through the generations, to uncover links that continue to influence us as individuals through the investigation of one's own roots and ancestry, and reflect on what it means to rebuild from a family system in transformation.

The World Today (TWT) collection image

Project website: https://twt.obscura.io.

138 world-class, established and emerging photographers from 5 continents brought together by Obscura to take the 1st global visual timestamp of the 21st century. 13,800 native 1/1 NFT photographs of cities, landscapes, communities, people, events and conceptual images that will tell our story for centuries to come, taken Mar-Apr 2022.

An ode to the 1955 exhibition “The Family of Man” by legendary curator Edward Steichen for the MoMA, The World Today uses the blockchain to create a permanent record of our world, rich in metadata connections that further develop and cross-reference the stories within, resulting in a complex net of properties and rarities including 138 curated grails, 1 from each artist.

TWT expanded the frontier of possibilities for photography in the web3 era, and is responsible for onboarding dozens world-class photographers to NFTs.
