'8SIAN Khutulun'

1/1 NFT Fully hand-drawn Only 36 Goddesses in the ENTIRE 8,888 Collection Khutulun, Mongolia’s famed and undefeated wrestling princess, Genghis Khan’s progeny and the inspiration for Turandot.

Unlike many in 8SIAN's Goddess collection, the Mongolian warrior princess Khutulun was not a figure of myth but a real figure in history! She is famed for being the progeny of Genghis Khan and stories have it that she rejected 1000 grooms-to-be by beating them in wrestling.

Turandot, a fictional character famed in Western works, is believed to have been inspired by the fearsome Khutulun. Whist in Mongol culture she is celebrated as a famed warrior and athlete, in Western depictions she is usually portrayed as a proud woman who inevitably falls in love.

Our artist was inspired by the beauty of tribal accessories, and took the opportunity to showcase them on Khutulun. An eagle in the background symbolizes Mongolian's tradition of hunting using the Golden-Eagle and their primal bond with the creature.

We envision 8SIAN being a global, inclusive community that brings together members who share admiration for Asian cultures. We want to represent, educate and build a lasting presence in the NFT space.

Our team is committed to integrating 8SIAN into Web3: bridging the Asian culture with the Metaverse – which we believe is the inevitable future.
