This fantastic fungi, Psilocybe cyanescens, is one of many species that produce the compound psilocybin, a psychoactive chemical. Wavy caps are said to be some of the most potent psychedelic fungi, with the North American variety said to be stronger than its European counterpart. Challenging to cultivate indoors, this fungi is mainly found in the wild, and is known to grow in large clusters in lignin-rich soils.
