Some of our favourite moments happen at the kitchen table: paint on our hands, glitter on the floor, and our kids proudly holding up another unicorn. Children don't wait to be good at art. They just make it, share it and move on to the next idea.
GPU Inu began in that same spirit, as a joke that made us smile: every AI on Earth runs on GPUs. No GPU, no AI. We imagined a Shiba wearing two spinning fans as goggles, and we couldn't stop there. One trait and one idea at a time, using modern assistive tools where they helped, that one pup became a family of 10,000, each with its own look, name and personality.
We grew up loving pixel art and the early, playful days of NFTs, and we're lifelong fans of CryptoPunks and Daft Punk: art, music and tech meeting in unexpected ways. GPUnks is our small thank-you to everything that made us want to create.
Honestly, we don't know what comes next, and that's part of the fun. Maybe no one mints a single pup. Maybe it takes off in ways we never imagined. Either way, we're already happy, because we made something and put it out into the world. That was the whole point.
We're curious about generative music and would love to explore musical NFTs someday. But nothing here is a promise. We'll make art when inspiration finds us, and share it when it feels right.
What we believe is simple: the world needs more art, more kindness and more people making things for the joy of it, now more than ever.
