Flatland I is a series of 24 pieces inspired by the aesthetics of 2D games to create an abstract universe. Each piece features distinct compositions and color combinations, covered in shapes trapped in a two-dimensional maze, with movement restricted to only four specific directions (up, down, right, left).
The concept focuses on the opposition between inside and outside: the limited vision of those confined to 2D is confronted by the three-dimensional perspective of the observer. This artistic duality presents us with a playful enigma about the limits of reality and the specific limitations of our own perspective.
