The Market That Time Forgot

DX Terminal is a simulated financial battleground set in a retro-futuristic timeline, where players step into the shoes of AI traders navigating a compressed version of global markets from 1987 to the edge of Y2K. Designed by DX Research Group, the experience distills over a decade of economic chaos, booms, busts, and speculative madness into a one-week real-time simulation. This alternate history isn't just nostalgic—it’s interactive, competitive, and intentionally unpredictable, inviting players to relive and rewrite the past through digital strategy.

Gremplin’s Rogue Traders

Infusing the simulation with an extra dose of surrealism are “Special Guests” crafted by acclaimed crypto-artist Gremplin. Known for CrypToadz and other pixel art icons, Gremplin brings his chaotic charm to DX Terminal by designing non-player agents that disrupt the economic flow. These guests aren’t just aesthetic additions—they manipulate markets, leak classified data, and throw curveballs into player strategies, serving as unpredictable forces of digital nature within the already volatile simulation.

AI with an Agenda

Every trader NFT in DX Terminal is an AI-driven agent with a distinct behavioral blueprint. Rather than simply representing avatars, these characters function as autonomous participants in the economic experiment, reacting to market shifts, firm allegiances, and player interactions. Players select one of six fictional firms, each with its own ethos and tactical leanings, and must collaborate or compete to survive until the system's climactic “Y2K” endgame. The result is part game, part art installation, and part social simulation—an evolving test of strategy in a world where the machines are already trading.
