Original ECW collection image

This collection of NFT's pertains specifically to owned or licensed content specific to the original ECW professional wrestling promotion. ECW went by two names from 1992 to 2001: "Eastern Championship Wrestling" and "Extreme Championship Wrestling". The promotion had a loyal and rabid fan following across the United States, Canada, Japan and Europe - with the promotion producing several future champions in WWE (then WWF), WCW, TNA (now Impact), New Japan Pro Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and other major wrestling companies across the world.

ECW's primary "home base" was the ECW Arena (formerly Viking Hall, now the 2300 Arena) in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Other primary venues for shows and TV tapings (including pay per view events) were the Elks Lodge (Queens, NY) and the Hammerstein Ballroom (Manhattan, New York). Many ECW alumni have confirmed that the loyal and vocal fan base was unlike any other in their careers.
