Locked Up

An NFT artwork created from a physical piece produced in 2020 by the artist Charlotte Esposito during the first lockdown in the UK and in response to the pandemic. The original piece is 122cm x 67cm x 5.5mm: Spray Paint, Acrylic & Vitral on Treated Plywood (completely weatherproof and useable both indoors or out).

Now comes with the physical piece as un-lockable (price increase reflects this as originally listed as a digi).

The work is a contemporary mixed media abstract with elements of emotive imagery that relate to the both lockdown and the artists personal interpretation of her own journey through this, with a nod to street art.

"During lockdown I wanted to make art that felt free. I am usually more intentional in composition and subject matter but it was important for me to work with more abundance at a time when we were all very constrained. The piece was made outdoors in my backyard using weatherproofed paints and the elements were effecting the way that the paint and spray moved and so on."
