I wrote the book before I bought the domain vagobond - I would have bought vagabond but a shoe company had already gotten it. If I would have known, I would have spelled the book title differently.

The bus on the cover was my 4th VW Bus. I bought it from a hippie for $300. I painted it and lived in it on Kauai for nearly two years. I parked in the empty lot next to Otsuka's in Kapa'a. At the time it belonged to the kayak company I worked for and they enjoyed the extra security having me there afforded them. I liked the beach front location. In fact, it may have been the best location I've ever lived in. I sold the bus when I went to the Philippines and am told it was used as a storage shed for many years.
