This drawing was inspired by a recent visit to Berlin, Germany and how they have replaced much of their dark energy from the past with tolerance and progressive values.
Originally it was supposed to be a color study of chakras, (starting with red on the bottom going to purple at the top). However, I didn't want it to be confused with an upside-down pride flag, so I flipped it over and made this instead. I enjoy layering different hues of the same color family together to make patterned effects. This was highly improvisational and is a kind of conversation with the colors, paper/negative space, and shapes.
The animated version of my original drawing aims to inspire peace, love, acceptance, and joyful feelings.
