I felt like I was at war with myself and with the world. I asked the stars why they broke their promise. I asked us why we broke ours. I could hear the moon calling to me asking me to find comfort in her illuminating darkness but I turned away. It took me a long time to find the way back to myself.

But I am not alone even in my darkest moments.

For a brief moment I feel a cool breeze. She hugs the back of my neck. Caresses my hands and tells me it will all be okay. She reminds me that what is mine will come to me.

This path I’m taking it’s unfamiliar. It hasn’t been walked on by many but I can feel it calling to me. It’s beautiful but it’s behind the shadows of my doubt. The only way to get to its beauty is through the shadows.

I shall begin my journey; and with love I will always lead.
