We often come across people on social media showing bodies that are increasingly slim, defined and fit through photos and videos in gyms or practicing some outdoor physical activity.

The perception of the body becomes dominated by images reproduced by the media. In social networks, common subjects appear, reproducing or contesting (humorously or not) these aesthetic standards.

Through this body idolatry, social networks “take out of the picture” people who do not want or do not reach this aesthetic “model”.

Even blind people tend to always seek a standard of beauty based on what they hear, feel and perceive with other sensory perceptions. What is behind the incessant and blind pursuit of perfection?
