In 1956 the Hungarian people took to the streets to protest. These protests were sparked by university students seeking change, but grew in momentum.
As the protests grew the Red Army were brought in to contain and suppress, leading to violence and defeat for the people of Hungary.
This piece is influenced by my visit to The House of Terror in Budapest, which stands a reminder that Freedom can never be taken for granted.
