Abstract Artist is a London-based artist with her practice exploring the idea of dérive landscapes through abstract painting and photography. Abstract analyses the impact of the environment on her behaviour all whilst suffering from the chronic illness Endometriosis.

Her art is a spontaneous, spur-of-the-moment landscape, creating unplanned works deriving from her sensations and the frustration from battling Endometriosis. A vital aspect of her practice is capturing the glimpses of these significant responses to her life and translating them into art. Abstract’s work blurs the lines of abstraction with her narratives. She has displayed works in real-time and at virtual shows, including The Holy Art gallery in Hackney, The Shrine gallery in New York, and the Miami Bitcoin 2021 NFT lounge.

"Each stroke I put onto the canvas is an intense spontaneous physical act, using manual techniques such as layering and scraping. I see layering as re-writing and hiding my experiences. In comparison, scraping back the paint reveals what was underneath. This acknowledges what I have gone through to create the works on canvas.
