THE MUFFINS AND THE FIRE

A woman named Lily is walking home from the grocery store. She's carrying a few bags of groceries, including a dozen muffins. She's a little bit tired, so she's walking a bit slower than usual. Suddenly, she sees a fire in a building up ahead. She knows that there are people inside, and she knows that she can help. She sets down her groceries and starts running towards the fire. She reaches the building and starts pounding on the door, shouting for the people inside to get out. Some of the people start coming out, but there are still others who are stuck inside. Lily doesn't give up. She keeps pounding on the door and shouting for the people to come out. Finally, the last of the people come out, and Lily goes back to get her groceries. She's exhausted, but she knows that she made a difference. She's also glad that she bought those muffins. They'll come in handy now.
