Swazi bead necklaces are worn to complete the adornment of young women. These beads are handmade locally.

Women are allowed to be as creative as they can and they alone make them.

The collection was inspired by the need to echo the beauty of our Swazi culture and the significance of the role played by young Swazi women in ensuring that our culture and traditions are well kept and relayed effectively to following generations.

The series focuses on the Imbali (young girls) traditional regalia (ema hiya) as seen in the images and dances such as Ingadla and Ummiso as well as their purity.

I also shifted focus towards the traditional neckpiece called Emagcebesha that compliment the beauty of the traditional garments and I show the Emafahlawane which are used for dance.
