This piece came from a place of relief and honesty from the growth and evolution I’ve been experiencing since I went to get help for my manic depression/anxiety. I’ve very much struggled with trying to fit myself into this world, where I don’t feel I actually like I belong in the physical world. I’ve often made the joke that I would much rather evaporate into space, but it’s not really a joke. I often feel misplaced in the world, and it has really consumed my soul at times. Creating this painting was a way to acknowledge and heal that wound. It’s a reminder of who I long to evolve to.
