Kerala, the state where I was born and raised, is where I most enjoy being. Although I now call Bangalore home, Kerala is a place I often think about and am nostalgic about when I'm alone. That's why I put together a collection of my favorite photos from Kerala to show you what daily life is like in the state. Due to heavy rainfall, numerous rivers, and the state's extensive backwaters, it isn't surprising that the majority of these photos feature fishermen.

Keralites are the most straightforward and down-to-earth people you'll ever meet. They prefer to live in their own world of simplicity and originality. Kerala has a coastline that makes up 10% of India's total coastline, which has historically enabled trade with neighboring nations. Due to heavy rainfall and an abundance of rivers and backwaters, the Kerala coast is exceptionally productive for fishing. In my photographs, I attempted to capture the essence of a common man's life in Kerala.
