This piece signifies man's entrapment in our modern, digital world. The paint connects in an intertwining web that becomes more complex. The blank spots that fade are an ode to loss - loss of a simpler world, but this blank world is simply nostalgic and false. The white is really nothing more than a sugarcoat of deep crimson. Each web, is engulfed by red: red lights, blood, rank fluids, splatters like little red pills and rust. Depravity abounds within this web. Black webs and conduits try to seep out but are blocked at every step by images of blue. Authority figures that drip and splatter and try to stop the the black from making its connections. The black conduits try to escape, but are stalled at nearly every exit point. Yellow conduits and splatters - remain confused, and lost. Are they part of the oppressive authority or are they part of the conduits that seek to be free... or are they simply both, stuck in a liminal state - stuck between mainstream acceptance and derision for their difference.
