From my new series I present you the Facescanning Skull. The current topic of total surveillance does not stop at the skull ;-). Here, too, my self-made projector was used, which projects bmp files previously created on the PC onto my object via a freely selectable lens. In this case a gradient. The lens was adjusted so that every single pixel on the skull appears as a square. This gives the scan pattern. Otherwise it was like the first skull:

  • Expose object through projector
  • Paint the background with glass fibre
  • Lens change
  • Spin first orb.
  • Expose the pupil with a flashlight
  • Spin second orb
  • Expose second pupil
  • Finished! Note: I used two gradient filters (up and down) on the wide-angle lens so that the orb doesn't expose the surroundings so much.

S.O.O.C. no photoshop this picture was taken in one exposure!

Lightpaintings collection image

The darkness is my canvas and the light is my brush. This is how my art is created through my choreography of lights in front of the camera in one exposure. Without Photoshop! I've designed and built tools for a lot of my projects. These tools hold a special place in my heart. Every picture goes through a long process from the idea to the planning of the choreography to the implementation in front of the camera. Much sweat, blood and tears have flowed into my projects, which you can buy here. Enjoy my photos.
