As if the standard "Nova ST-3" was not enough, in the year 2009, "Japanese Racing Customs" grabbed hold of one and gave it an...update, if you will. Japanese Racing Customs (JRC) is a company that was formed by two racing drivers after retiring from professional racing. The two of them, with their extensive knowledge on cars and their passion for them, brought together a team that carries out upgrades and fine tuning on cars. On this particular Nova ST-3, they managed to reduce the weight by as much as 117 kilograms. By installing a larger turbocharger and intercooler, the car was able to produce a lot more power and torque. The internals of the engine were altered in a way that it would be able to manage the extra power produced. The power output of the car saw a significant increase as well as the torque, 200 horsepower more and 160 Newton metres of torque more than the standard model. The JRC Edition can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in under four seconds, which is aided by the switch in transmission from a 5-speed gearbox to a 6-speed gearbox. Upgrades have been, obviously, performed to the bodywork of the car that provide aerodynamic benefits to the car, such stability and grip through corners and at high speeds. With the rear wing open, so to speak, as it is fully adjustable, the car can attain a top speed of 312 km/h.
