This collection by NO ARCHITECTURER is part of The Architecture of Virtual Space, an exhibition of immersive conceptual architecture, in The Unbuilt Gallery of Architecture.

If architecture is about connecting the individual to the collective; for us, a meditation space in the metaverse is about connecting the individual to the infinite. If architecture is articulated by the space between inside and outside, a meditation space in the metaverse is fundamentally about the disarticulation between inside and outside.

In contrast to a hyper cube, we chose the opposite; to create a porous yet tightly controlled geometric figure; recollecting yet modulating ancient architecture. In this case, a regular octahedron, combining mirroring square pyramids to form a diamond that’s cleaved at the middle to create what we call the "soft space" or "pillow space".
