Designed in Barcelona and handcrafted in Alicante (Spain), this esparto grass installation has been created exclusively for our New York Flagship store. The piece The Mediterranean Wave by the Mango Window Display Design Department is a clear representation of Mango’s key aesthetic values, where the Mediterranean and the contemporary merge into the same concept. Inspired by Mediterranean craft wickerwork, its main elements have undergone a clear deconstruction, resulting in an organic and conceptual image. The decontextualization of the material has made it possible to create a living sculpture, where the movement produced by the curves makes a clear reference to the gentle waves of the Mediterranean.
