A surplus collage not included in the daily cutup: https://coalesce.me/2021/07/16/
Every day I fetch random images from articles that have been fetched by my RSS reader and "coalesce" them. Which is to say that I make digital collages from these images. The images are actually "composited" using the ImageMagick suite of command line graphics tools. I just call it, "coalescing" due to a notion I had many years ago. This phrase "the images coalesce" came to me and I wasn't sure what it meant but I kept pondering over it. After over twenty years of dwelling on the idea, I finally created a prototype web site for creating partially automated cutups and collages. Since November 2020 I have been making a "daily cutup" which is illustrated by these randomly generated collages.
