Not many people have mobile in the Amazonian Jarilandia, so the children got really excited playing with mine. In this city, 3 hours inside the Jari river, just one store had internet, and all the inhabitants used it. They live by getting Açai from the trees and fish from the river, and by trading these assets for money with some comerciants that come by boat. They also receive help from the Brazilian navy sometimes. The city had a food shop, a school and a health center (not a hospital). If you collect any of the photos from the children of Amazon, I will use that money to take solar energy to the social institutions of the Amazonian Jarilandia (I am a Federal University Professor in Brazil;you can see my CV: http://lattes.cnpq.br/0847832636263404). They live nowadays with energy by diesel and without much diesel. They all have to turn off the lights 21:00h, to save energy for the next day, even when they have to deal with the heat and the moskitos. Jarilandia - Amazon, Brazil, Amapá, 2018.
