One of the nicest places to explore Daisetsuzan National Park is Mount Asahidake, which is 2290 meters high. The tiny village is made up of only a dozen structures, including wooden lodges, a lovely youth hostel, and two or three sizable hotels. Only the hotels and the ropeway station offer dining and shopping options.
