I was trekking through the monolithic peaks of the Italian Dolomites when I saw a jaw dropping sight. The clouds were crawling through the valley and enshrouding the tips of the mountains.

I couldn’t get a good vantage point from where I was on the hiking trail so I sent up my trusty little drone. The higher the drone went, the more mind blowing the view became. At last, my eye in the sky was exactly in line with the peaks and their crown of clouds.

I snapped the photo, brought my drone down and continued to explore this stunning corner of Europe. If you look at this photograph closely you can actually see the trail that I was hiking on at the base of the mountains.

This is a visually stunning image, but it also gets me thinking about how sometimes we tend to spend our days with our head up in the clouds. All it takes is to zoom out and focus to start seeing the bigger picture.
