Extreme Pogo developed into a sport in the early 2000s. Using a pogo stick—something that many kids had in their house growing up—suddenly became a piece of equipment that allowed users to execute flips, spins and massive jumps.

My aim with these photos was to capture both the gravity defying acrobatics of the athletes, but also some of the quieter moments in between that capture who they are.
