**THE POWER OF FOOD PROJECT** is a combination of my photos and digital manipulation which aims to address the concept of narrative by exploring food photography in an artistic context.  Each piece is a hyper-realistic relief oil painting with rough surfaces showing the food in an extreme detailed way. I invite others to explore and discover relationships between the image’s sharpness, composition, palette, and mood that contributed to each of the narratives. 
I choose food because I want to demonstrate how ordinary food can change mood and perspectives. Because food contains so many emotions. Food is particularly powerful because it is so deeply embedded in everyday as well as celebratory life and can therefore be read in many ways. Food engages all the senses and tends to evoke strong sensory and emotive as well as cognitive associations.
