These characters have a human shape and human eyes, but an alien skin, with a hyper-ornamented texture that is reminiscent of the plant and mineral worlds. And sundews grow around her eyes, like living eyelashes that are a continuation of the intricate pattern of her body surface. A symbiotic, complex subject, wherein species coexist, which is an ecosystem itself. 
The importance of symbiosis in evolution and in life is now common knowledge. Human beings, without looking any further, are "communities of microbes", the product of symbiosis. Faced with the idea of (illusory) homogeneous purity and competitiveness (as an evolutionary struggle), hybrid beings speak of the value of cooperation, of recombination, in a game in which everyone wins.
