When an animal stares into my lens, it’s a moment of deep connection I can hardly believe, and never forget. 

I am still and quiet but I do not hide. The stare is the moment I realize I’m not just a passive observer. It’s the moment I become part of their world.

In this simple, easy relationship we acknowledge each other directly. No fear. No aggression. 

I want to share this special moment through my art so that we may all understand that we are part of the natural world and not separate from it.
