Same City, Same Passion by Power of Women x Man City

About this collection

Power of Women and Man City’s ‘Same City, Same Passion’ collaboration celebrates the start of the Women’s Super League Season 2023-24 and draws inspiration from Manchester City’s Same City, Same Passion campaign, which focuses on promoting women's football by demonstrating that the same skills, same excitement, and same passion exist wherever a ball is kicked.

‘Same City, Same Passion’ is the Club’s first dynamic digital artwork, with Power of Women’s strikingly bold art switching between two iconic designs – ‘Same City’ during the week and ‘Same Passion’ on WSL game weekends for the duration of the 2023-24 season.

This digital art drop follows on from Power of Women x Man City’s ‘I am EMPOWERED’ collection, which launched on International Women’s Day in March 2023, and celebrates the passion and diversity of women in football today, to inspire, and empower future generations.

‘Same City, Same Passion’ will be released as a time-limited open edition, with the proceeds being split equally between Power of Women and Manchester City’s official charity, City in the Community.

Collectors who hold all 5 digital artworks from Power of Women x Man City’s ‘I am EMPOWERED’ collection will be airdropped ‘Same City, Same Passion’ for free.

Same City, Same Passion: The Inspiration

In 2018, Manchester City launched the Same City, Same Passion campaign, which focuses on promoting women’s football by demonstrating that the same skills, same excitement and same passion exist wherever a ball is kicked.

This dynamic artwork depicts the strength and resilience of women in football today, drawing inspiration from City’s urban roots, and taking us on a journey to the first game of the 2023-24 Women’s Super League season and beyond:

Born on the streets of Manchester, driven by our city’s grit and unified in our passion for football. The energy in the changing room is electric, the crowd roars, and we stride through the tunnel with pride. The whistle blows. We charge forward. We are City.
