Dark Side stations are spread throughout the solar system - on planets, satellites and large astroids. Each station has its own purpose, crews operating in a hostile environment are responsible for the performance and maintenance.

Construction of the first station began in 2098 on Phobos, a natural satellite of Mars. Its purpose was to extract plutonium, but due to a series of accidents it was abandoned by its crew after just 5 years of activity.

Some time later, construction of new large-scale stations began: they respected the design of the first [Planetary Stations](https://opensea.io/collection/planetary-stations) but also applied significant improvements. In total, 222 Dark Side stations were ever built.
