Ocaso is a series of digitally constructed images as pictorial exercises. The composition, the range of colors, the stroke or brushstroke are key elements in the development of each image. The theme is always scenes of Bogotá under the sun of the deer. I try to approach relevant paintings by renowned artists in the history of art. In the academy, using great masterpieces as a model is a recurring exercise in learning different techniques and languages, my project is a continuation of that exercise from an apparently unconventional medium, even when artists like David Hockney have made use of it in their latest works.
