Dan Witz's "Mosh Pit 2000" is from his world-renowned series of paintings exploring the chaotic beauty of the hardcore punk music scene. The pieces in this series are characterized by their intense and almost claustrophobic compositions, with bodies tightly packed together and writhing in a frenzy of baroque movement. Mosh Pit 2000 was featured in a collaboration with the luxury fashion brand Dior. 

The painting is based on photographs the artist took in actual mosh pits, which were then collaged and painstakingly painted to create a new, hyper-realistic image.
