In city as a demanding and unforgiving as London, a Londoner’s love and trust becomes exclusively reserved for a select few. When Londoners are in love, they become the leading roles in their own romcom.  They display the entire spectrum of emotions for all to see, as they drop the defensive façade of the cold, hostile Londoner. 

They become lost in each other.

They loudly argue at a bus stop as commuters pass by. They kiss each other passionately on the lion statue in Trafalgar Square surrounded by onlookers, as if in a love scene on a film set , or cry in the middle of Piccadilly Circus.

This is my very first self-published work. It contains 50 images shot over 18 months on the streets of Central and West London. This project and the countless photowalks made in order to shoot these images not only helped me mentally during the toughest parts of lockdown, but also helped me feel more connected to my local area.
