IN SEARCH OF SUNRISE BY EBRAHIM ELMI

As a photographer, I chose to be the voice of people that don't have any voices. We all cross the city streets every day and because of our busy lives, we don't focus on what is happening around us. But, as a photographer, I always stand in a corner and pay attention to everything. And I’m always suffering from the problems of child labour. Most of us pass by these children every day without paying attention to them. What they do to improve their lives and their future Instead of going to school and playing, they work in the conditions of an adult or worse. In this collection, I looked deeper into this problem, and instead of capturing their photos while working, I decided to record their feelings and souls, Although they are working in adult situations and they may be under a lot of physical and mental pressures, we can feel the passion of childhood in their eyes and faces. In these photos, the eyes and hands play the main role because the soul and emotions can be felt through the eyes. And, by looking at the hands, we can understand the difficulties that humans had in their lives. I used white color in the background to express the clarity and purity of the nature of these children. And, the scratches that I added are a metaphor for the troubles and bitterness that entered the souls of these children.
Part of the income from this collection will go to homeless children's charity.
